CAMP IMPACT – On September 15, 2025, our seniors headed out west to Camp Impact for their senior retreat. Camp Impact is a Christian camp located in Okeechobee county. At this camp, the seniors spent their day having fun and worshiping Christ. The camp was filled with fun activities such as water sports, an inflatable trampoline, basketball, field sports, Gaga ball, pedal go-karts, football, archery tag, and much more. When the seniors first arrived in the morning, they went straight into enjoying the various fun activities. “The activities were awesome!” exclaims senior Brody Marose, “me and my friends had lots of fun driving the pedal go-karts and playing on the inflatable obstacle courses on the water. We also loved playing archery tag.”
At noon, the seniors headed over to the main pavilion where there was worship, a sermon, and a tasty lunch. Seniors Rigby Stepp and Sebastian Cabrera played their guitars while Ava Camejo, another senior, sang. “They did a fantastic job playing the worship music,” senior Brody Marose shared. “I could not have asked for better worship music. It was authentic and wonderfully performed.” After the amazing worship music, beloved JCS Bible teacher Mr. Trageser delivered a wonderful sermon. “The sermon was about how even though we are all young, we are all able to make lasting impacts now,” Brody shared. “It was a wonderful message and it definitely spoke to me.” Senior parents also cooked up delicious burgers and hot dogs for the seniors for lunch.
Later, the seniors returned to their fun-filled activities. At around 3 p.m., the seniors cleaned up and returned to JCS. This retreat was enjoyed by the seniors, and the wonderful sermon impacted many. Hopefully this same retreat gets to be enjoyed by the many JCS senior classes yet to come.
