JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Behind every touchdown and interception from Luke Beach is the hard work and hours that he has put into football. Jupiter Christian High School Junior Luke Beach says that, “Every day in practice I put in 100 percent effort no matter what.”
With Luke on both sides of the ball it is no coincidence that the Eagle’s Football team is off to such a strong start with a 5-1 record. Luke is a game changer on the field with 13 career interceptions. When I asked Luke about his impressive stats he told me, “all the glory goes to God.”
Luke Beach has been playing football for as long as he can remember. When Luke was a kid, he would always beg his dad to throw the ball to him so he could train and be stronger than the other kids. He always knew he wanted to play in the NFL and he wanted to be a star wide receiver. But he knew that wouldn’t be easy, and he had to put in a lot of work to get to that level. That is why Luke trains 100 percent in practice and never is slacking and wasting time. Luke shows up for every practice and never lets down his coaches.
When Luke’s not at practice he’s watching film and perfecting his craft. On weekends he gets together with his hardworking teammates Jake Watson and Jack Kolea. Luke said, “Having a good group of guys makes it easy to put in the work.” They throw the ball around for hours and do drills in the hot sun so they can be ready for those Thursday night games.
In the next chapter of Luke’s life, he hopes to commit to a Division 1 school. Out of all the schools his dream school to commit to would be the University of Miami. He knows at Miami he can get the proper training and fulfill his lifetime dream of playing professional football with the NFL.
