JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Our theme this year for our weekly chapels is Go: Make Disciples. This comes straight out of Jesus’s command in the great commission Matthew 28:19-20:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Go implies movement and living out faith in an active manner. It’s about stepping out in faith to go and share the truth. Junior Trace Cook appreciates the theme this year. He said, “I think it’s a really helpful message all around to teach us how to share the gospel in practical ways.”
Sophomore Ryder Zuniga explains, “I appreciate Pastor Bill speaking about the mission trip to El Salvador; it made me want to go on one of these trips.” A way we are going out in our faith this year is through experiences like Serve day, R.E.A.C.H Week, Spiritual Emphasis Week, and Missions trips. On Junior serve day, we will be visiting places of need including Hannah’s Home and Feeding South Florida. These are important ways we can reach a broader audience and share the gospel with those who may have never experienced it before.
I hope to grow in my faith this year through chapel messages and new experiences.
