JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – The Jupiter Christian Varsity Swim team is on track to win regionals and it’s no surprise that Trey Chesney is leading the team. Trey started swimming for the Jupiter Christian Swimming team in 7th grade. Since 7th grade he has been putting all his effort into the swimming pool.
Trey first started to swim for a sport when he was just 10 years old, and it didn’t take him long to know that he loved it. Since then, Trey has been swimming every day for both Jupiter Christian and the Jupiter Dragons Swim teams. On both teams Trey is a leader for everybody and is always encouraging his teammates to do better. Trey said that, “My teammates need me, and I will always be there for them.”
Due to Trey’s outstanding performances in the pool, he has gotten many awards including the MVP award while he was only a sophomore! Trey is also the lead captain for the Jupiter Dragons Swim team and is always setting a good example for his teammates. This is only the beginning for Trey. He knows if he keeps up the hard work, he will be able to hopefully receive an offer from a Division 1 college.
Trey said that, “With the help of my coaches and teammates, it’s easy to love the sport of swimming.” But the coaches and teammates aren’t the only ones keeping Trey motivated for swim, he said that, “I do everything for God.” He is committed to getting better every day so he can bring the Jupiter Christian team to their first win in regionals.
