JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – This year’s chapel theme, “Go!” is a powerful call for students to live out their faith and share God’s love with others. Inspired by Matthew 28, the Great Commission, it challenges students to take action, to make disciples, serve others, and lead with love. Both Pastor Bill and Mr. T shared their thoughts on how this theme can transform not just chapel experiences, but the way students live every day.
Mr. T explained that the “Go!” theme is a reminder of God’s ongoing mission of love since the beginning of time. He said that God has always wanted His children to know His love, and once someone truly experiences it, it’s impossible to keep it to themselves. The goal of this year’s theme is for students to encounter that love and then share it with others around them.
What it comes to “Go Deep” Pastor Bill emphasized the importance of understanding God’s Word before trying to share it with others. He explained that to make disciples, students first need to know what Jesus teaches and apply it in their own lives. Going deeper in faith helps students strengthen their understanding, defend what they believe, and live in confidence in their walk with God.
For “Go Serve,” Mr. T encouraged students to act in their communities and school. He reminded students that there are countless ways to serve. From joining a prayer group or helping in chapel to going on mission trips or participating in R.E.A.C.H Week. Serving doesn’t always have to be something big; it can simply mean noticing a need and stepping in to meet it.
Pastor Bill also spoke about what it means to “Go Lead.” He believes that leadership isn’t about age or title, but about example. Students can make a difference by choosing to lead their friends and peers in positive ways, showing kindness, and living like Christ. Even small acts of leadership can inspire others to do the same.
Finally, when reflecting on the heart behind this year’s theme, Mr. T said he hopes students realize that their greatest purpose is to know God personally. Once they do, he believes they’ll naturally want to help others experience that same love.
In the end, the Chapel theme “Go!” calls students to take their faith beyond the classroom. But to go deep, go serve, and go lead so they can make a real impact for God wherever they are!
