Isaiah Rodriguez is a Student Journalist for the JCS Beak. Throughout his life, he has always been called the same name, Isaiah, however, some people have called him by his brother’s name, “Malachi” on accident. He is in the class of 2028 at the age of 14. He was born in Maryland in 2010. In 2014, his family decided that it would be best to move to Georgia, where he spent most of his childhood. In 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 virus, he moved to Florida, which is where he is today. He plays both football and basketball and participated in the band when he was in middle school.
His favorite activities outside of school are swimming in his pool and playing video games. As of right now, he doesn’t know what he wants to do after he graduates. All he wants to do is be involved in the sports world in some way. His favorite travel destination is Virginia because of his grandparents living there and the amazing mountain scenery. He is a huge sports fan, with his favorite teams being the Commanders in football, the Braves in baseball, and the Heat in basketball.
A cause that Isaiah is very passionate about is justice in times of argument or unfairness. He likes to volunteer, especially for school and church events. His favorite Bible verse is James 1:19, which says, “Know this, my beloved brothers: Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.” Isaiah’s reasoning for it being his favourite verse is because it reminds him that he needs to hear people out when he is getting mad or doesn’t agree with them. The way faith guides Isaiah in his life is by God gifting him with the ability to realise what is wrong. This helps Isaiah tell himself and other people that what they’re doing is wrong. One interesting fact about him is that he has 3 brothers: Malachi, Bryan, and Travis.
