JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – During the winter months, many “snowbirds” from colder states flood areas such as Jupiter and Stuart to enjoy the warm weather. Most of these people own properties there which they go to visit. While their presence does bring benefits such as help to local businesses, it also causes more traffic on the roads. The congested streets result in more time to get from place to place. This increase in traffic can make it difficult for students to get to school. What used to be a quick drive can turn into long frustrating waits at traffic lights and crowded roads. While snowbirds bring a lot of good to the area, their arrival also means that people on their ways to work or even school have more difficulties on the road and must get on the road earlier to arrive on time. It’s simply one of the things that come along with the winter season in South Florida!
