The week before Spring Break was not always called R.E.A.C.H. Week and it was not always open to Middle School students. It used to be called “Minimester” and only High School students were able to enjoy trips and service projects. Some things are still the same. During Minimester, the Sophomores went on the College Trip and other students did local service projects. They also did internships at hospitals and different businesses and went to foreign countries. Mrs. Eisenback remembers going with a group of Juniors to the Dominican Republic and working with children and painting houses. Mrs. Rosa remembers taking a group to Spain for an Exploration of Spain’s Languages and Cultures. Miss Williams remembers when she was a student, she went to Guatemala with Students International. They built wells, assisted in a medical clinic, and played with children at an Orphanage. When you see Mrs. Carman, ask her to tell you a good story about one of her Minimesters.
