A Spectacular Performance!

Fine Arts Christmas Concert brings joy to all!

NORTH PALM BEACH – The 2023 Fine Arts Christmas Program was spectacular! The concert took place at First Presbyterian Church in North Palm Beach on December 6, 2023. The 7th-8th grade band, choir, and musical theater classes performed (followed by the high school band and choir). This was the most important concert of the year because it reminds us of Jesus’ birth. This performance brought joy to everyone in the audience.

In the band, there are many different instruments. The songs played by the band in the middle school concert were The First Noel, Deck the Halls, Joy to the World, and It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. In the song Deck the Halls, I played a solo. In the First Noel, Brady and I played a duet together. We both play the alto saxophone. Alison Siebrecht shared, “My favorite part about the band concert was playing and learning new things on our instruments.” Alison is a 7th grader who plays the clarinet.

In the middle school choir, there are twelve students, eleven of them are 7th graders, and one is an 8th grader. The choir sang Carol of the Bells, Silent Night, and Do You Hear What I Hear?  The choir worked super hard on perfecting these songs. They sang to the Lord with all their hearts.

In musical theater, they put on a play about how you should use your gifts that God gave you. Everyone has unique gifts they get from God. The play was fun to watch and everyone in the audience enjoyed it.

The Christmas Program went well and many people got encouraging compliments about it. Mrs. Hoffman, Mrs. Benson, and Mrs. Sust did a wonderful job teaching all the students the songs, music, and acting. The concert was fabulous, and everyone appreciated watching it.

She has lived in Connecticut, England, and Florida. She lived in Connecticut for 7 years, England for 3 years, and Florida for 3 years. If you were wondering if she has a British accent, no she doesn't. Outside of school Mia does gymnastics 6 days a week, everyday but Sunday, and in total she does it 20 hours a week. Mia has travelled A LOT, but one of her favorite places she went to was Belgium. Mia's favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13 which says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." She goes to Christ Fellowship Church, where she volunteers every other week. Every other Sunday, she volunteer with the 2-5 year olds for 1.5 hours. One interesting fact about Mia is that she enjoys watching the Gators Gymnastics competitions. She knows lots of the gymnasts on the team. Last summer, Mia went to Gators Camp. This is where you meet all the gymnasts and practice where they practice. Everyone who went to their camp got to walk around UF together.
