JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – This is our school’s second year of Competitive Cheerleading making this year the best! Ava Kavney is in her first year of Competitive Cheerleading and hopefully not her last. Ava Kavney said, “A lot of people in my family did competitive cheerleading and its always been a dream of mine especially trying to impress my family members.”
When Ava Kavney is having a difficult day of school, she tells herself that it all will be worth it at the end. Ava’s biggest lesson she’s learned from being a cheerleader is to always put the effort in and it’s always worth it.
Ava balances school, social life, and cheer commitments by making certain times for everything. Ava said, “My favorite part of cheer practice is full outs, and the part I dread the most is when we do conditioning.” Ava’s bond with her teammates is good and they are close friends.
Ava is a flyer and that means to her that everybody sees her at the top. Ava chose competitive cheerleading over all the other sports and activities because cheerleading has always been her favorite and it has always been a very big part in her life.
Ava’s most difficult skill she’s ever learned has been extension full down and the process was difficult but her and her stunt group were able to push through and do great.
