JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – After a stunning 4-1 win, our Boys Middle School Soccer team starts off the season with a 1-0 record. They have been through highs and lows. From running laps in pain to scoring the 4 goals, this might be the most perserverent team we have seen.
To start things off, one of the players, Calvin Childers says, “Our coach is really nice and inspires the team to play better. He doesn’t like losing, and that energy carries over to the games.” Jupiter Christian, located in Florida, is just coming off of a cold front leading back to hot humid weather. This has been a major struggle for the team. Calvin says, “Coach preps us for this heat. We run a lot to get used to the heat. It really helps.”
The team just came off of a 4-1 win against St. Marks. When asked what the team could improve on, Calvin responded with, “Our goalkeeping situation lacks a little bit. The diving can be cleaner, and maybe extend the arms farther.” Despite that, the team still was able to take home a Jupiter Christian win.
After taking home the win, the whole team was extremely excited, but as Calvin stated earlier, Coach sure does loves a win. So not surprisingly, Coach was the most excited out of everybody about the win.
At the end of the day, this Jupiter Christian team is perseverant, skilled, and a story to not be forgotten. They hope to go on to a playoff run season and maybe even win the finals.
