TURTLE CREEK GOLF CLUB – Barrett Whitney shared his experience on the Jupiter Christian School golf team and his thoughts on the team.
When Barrett was asked how the first golf match of the season went, he said, “The first match went good but we did not play as well as we could have. It was our first time playing the course so hopefully next time we can get better scores.” Barrett was then asked how he thought he played personally and he responded by saying, “I was playing good the first five holes, but after hole five, I started playing worse but then played good again on hole nine and ended on a good note.”
Barrett was then asked how the practices have been going and he shared, “The practices are a lot of fun since you get to play with friends, and build more bonds and memories between people on the team.” Barrett went on to share his opinions on if the team can win this season by saying, “I do think the team can win this season because we have good players that practice a lot and our players are dedicated to the sport and try their best every game.” After this Barrett said he has been playing golf for two years and hopes to build his game as time goes on.
Barrett was asked how often he plays golf and he responded by saying, “During golf season I play around six days a week and then during winter I play around four days a week because I have to work during that time.” When Barrett got asked the question do you plan on playing golf after college he said, “I do not plan on playing golf competitively but I want to just be able to play with my friends and improve my game but if I ever am good enough and have the opportunity, I would play competitively.”
For the final question Barrett was asked if he had any goals for this season and he said, “My goal for this season is to shoot even one day and try to get even par while playing.”
