HARD ROCK STADIUM – On September 12, 2024 the Miami Dolphins had a Thursday night game against the Buffalo Bills. The game started out rough with the Bills getting a quick lead. Going into halftime the game was 24-10 and the bills were up. The Dolphins knew they needed to come back quick if they wanted to win. So coming out of halftime the Dolphins stopped the Bills offense and it was their turn to get the ball. The Dolphins got the ball all the way to the ten and as Dolphin fans were starting to gain hope of a comeback, all went wrong. It was fourth down and nobody was open so the quarterback Tua Tagovailoa ran it and when he got the first down instead of sliding he put his head down into a defender. After this hit to the head, he showed signs of a concussion. For those who do not know Tua already suffered from 2 concussions and another one like this could cause him to go into retirement. Not only this, but if he decided to keep playing and suffered from yet another concussion this would give him serious brain damage. That night was a night where many Dolphin’s fans knew this could be his last game or season. It is projected that Tua will be out for 8-12 weeks and this season may be practically over for the Dolphins.
