BEAR LAKES COUNTRY CLUB – On September 5, 2024 the Jupiter Christian Varsity Golf team competed in a golf match against rival Cardinal Newman. Massimo Muscari was playing as the 3rd seed for Jupiter Christian in the match.

When Massimo was asked about how the team prepared for the match he said, “We prepared by practicing at Turtle Creek the days prior and we also got a good warm up before the match.” Massimo was proud of the way he and his team had prepared for this match. Massimo said that he was not expecting a good score because of the previous results that he had in earlier matches.

Massimo said this about the conditions of the course, “It was actually pretty nice conditions, but the wind was a little strong that day but we still persevered.” Massimo thought that the conditions of the weather were not ideal for golf but he and the team still had to play to their best ability.

Massimo was able to meet new people from Cardinal Newman and had a lot of fun getting to know them. He said this about one of the people he met, “I met this awesome dude named Blake and he is a choir student and he even started singing for me.”

Massimo had a lot of fun at this match because he was able to shoot his best score of the season which was a 37 (one over par). Massimo was able to make 2 birdies, 3 bogeys, and 4 pars. He said that his favorite shot was, “One of my lucky birdie putts, I was 20 feet away on a downhill slope and I just barely tapped it and it rolled right in the hole.” Massimo was able to have an amazing round for the Varsity Golf team and hopes to build off the match and become a better golfer.
