JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – The Jupiter Christian Varsity Cross Country team has been on a role this past year!
After all of their hard work and dedication during the in-season, they went on to Districts readily prepared! The men’s team got 7th place overall, and the women’s team got an outstanding 5th place overall! For the first time in a few years, the Men and Women’s Cross Country teams moved on to Regionals.
One member of the Cross Country team that stands out from the District meet is the freshman sensation, Frankie Flora. Frankie Flora got 6th place overall at Districts, running a time of 16:51. For anyone, let alone a freshman, that is an incredible time. Clearly, Frankie Flora has a bright future ahead of him as a Cross Country (and Track) runner.
When asked about his favorite part of Districts, Flora responded with, “Running…running fast. Breaking 17.” Flora had the goal, “To break 17 minutes.” Clearly, Flora has the dedication to turn his goals into reality.
Not only does Flora stand out on the course for Cross Country, but on the Track as well. As an eighth-grader, Flora ran the 1600m in 4:54.21. Flora has great things ahead of him for the rest of the 2024 Cross Country season, as well as the 2025 Track and Field season!
