FLORIDA—During the 2025 College Tour R.E.A.C.H. Week, we visited ten colleges in four days. Despite a rigid schedule and long bus drives, we toured schools such as Florida State University and the University of Florida to deepen our understanding of which Florida colleges best fit us.
On the first day, our tour stayed local, and we started at Florida Atlantic University. Though an official tour was not in place, we could still view the campus’ exterior and grow an understanding of what life would be like attending Florida Atlantic University. Afterward, we traveled to Palm Beach Atlantic University. Though it is a small Christian college, Palm Beach Atlantic had much to offer, including a chapel room, kayak rentals, and Bible study groups. Grace Miller stated, “I really enjoyed touring Palm Beach Atlantic. I feel more interested in that school now, especially in their business program.”
On day two, we had an early start, leaving the school at 6:30 in the morning. After a three-hour bus drive, we arrived at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. Stetson University offers various dining options, musical opportunities, and much more. After Stetson University, we traveled to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This is an excellent school if you are interested in aircraft, aviation, and engineering. After Embry-Riddle, we traveled to St. Augustine, where we visited the Old Jail and Flagler College. We then stayed the night in St. Augustine.
On day three, we left St. Augustine at 6:00 in the morning to travel to Florida State University in Tallahassee. We toured the college with three members of the Phi Mu Sorority. We then left and traveled to Gainsville, where we toured the University of Florida. We later went to a baseball game between the University of Florida and the University of North Florida.
On the final day, we left Gainsville and quickly went to Florida Polytechnical before traveling to South Eastern University. At South Eastern University, two Jupiter Christian alumni gave us a tour of the small Christian School. We also visited Florida Southern College, concluding the trip altogether.
Overall, the 2025 College Tour allowed students to see 10 colleges throughout Florida. Gianna Mestrovich explained, “This college tour allowed me to tour many colleges and develop a better understanding of what I look for in colleges.” Students were able to learn more about the different colleges throughout Florida and gauge an idea of their pros and cons in colleges and universities.
