FLORIDA – The college tour was quite the experience for those who attended it. The students that went on this trip got to experience 10 different colleges around Florida.
We went to both private and public universities which gave us the opportunity to see whether we prefer a small or a large campus. This helped us to see all sorts of colleges and gave us a good understanding of what type of colleges we like and are interested in.
We also went to different sized colleges to give us the opportunity to see colleges with both a large amount of students with big classes and less students with more personal classes. On the first day of the trip we visited Florida Atlantic University and Palm Beach Atlantic. On the second day we went to Stetson University, Embry Riddle University, and Flagler College. We also got the opportunity to go to the Old Jail at St. Augustine. After this we went to dinner at a barbeque restaurant.
On the third day, we went to Florida State University and University of Florida. On Thursday, we went to University of Central Florida, Southeastern University, and Florida Southern College for the final one.
That was the last day and we got to have Friday off. The students stayed in hotels overnight so they could make it to colleges farther away. When we were done with our trip I asked some of my friends what their favorite colleges were. Jackson Fair said, “My personal favorite college we went to was Florida State University because both of my parents attended there.” Another one of my friends, Barrett Whitney, said, “My favorite college was Southeastern University because I liked the campus the most and I liked the size of the school.” Finally, Gabriel Gani said, “Although we did not see much of the University of Florida, it made up with the baseball game we got to see after.”
