JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – JCS hosted a Varsity Basketball home game in which the Eagles won in such a fashionable way that the starting lineup was taken out early and the bench was put in.
Surprisingly, before the game, a Junior Varsity superstar named Sebastian Cabrera, otherwise known as Sebo on the court, was moved up to play with the big boys and improve his game. Sebo was a starter on the JV team, being a natural superstar, averaging 20 points a game, and the best 3-point shooter on the team.
When Sebo hit Varsity though, he was faced with a small bit of adversity going from a starter to a bench player, but it did not affect him in any way. When Sebo was given allotted time, he balled out and hit his shots in the game. According to Sebo, he felt that he had an amazing game regardless of playing little time and just did his assignment and followed the coaches’ instructions and game plan. He also mentioned the team comparison of the two. The JV team are his brothers, but the Varsity team has a much more cohesive environment. They accepted him right away and saw him as a brother.
In all, Sebo is very happy to be moved up to get this level of exposure to build his skills for future games. He believes that Coach T will aid him and guide him in the right direction.
