JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – High School Spring Football is a program designed to give high school football players an opportunity to train and compete during the off-season. Spring Football usually takes place after the regular football season has ended, and it typically runs for several weeks.
During the Spring Football season, high school football teams engage in various activities such as weight training, conditioning, team building, and actual football practices. The goal of Spring Football is to prepare players for the upcoming season by improving their skills and physical conditioning. Jupiter Christian’s Spring Football season begins on May 3, 2023. Spring Football can be challenging because current seniors are not allowed to participate. Jupiter Christian is losing ten seniors who were all vital to the team, so they must find ways to adapt without them. Players will be able to play new positions due to the positions now being empty.
Spring Football is also vital because many coaches from colleges come to watch the practices and the spring game in order to recruit players. This can provide players with the exposure they need to colleges to make them stand out.
Gideon Douglas, star running back and defensive back for Jupiter Christian, was interviewed about this upcoming season. When asked how he thought the spring practices and game would go, he said, “I’m excited to see how my teammates who did not play much in the fall will be able to step up due to these seniors leaving the team.”
He also stated that the team shouldn’t be concerned with the loss of the seniors, and we have plenty of great players to go around. The Eagles’ spring game will be held at Jupiter High on May 18.
