JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – The school’s Varsity Football team has recently had some new additions with the new year starting, igniting curiosity among both players and fans alike.
This week, I got the chance to interview one of JCS’ newest football players, Cale Schiralli, and to learn more about him as a player and the team as a whole. On August 17, 2023, Jupiter Christian had a pre-season game against Central Florida Christian Academy. JCS absolutely hit it out of the park with an impressive 66 – 8 Win. This was a great win for the team before the regular season started. “I think that this win is awesome for the team and I’m excited to see how we will do in the regular season,” says Schiralli.
Schiralli talked about his passion for the sport of football quite a bit. One of the things that got him interested was his father working for the Denver Broncos. Schiralli has never played football before but has grown up around it. “My love for football definitely was inspired from my dad as well as some other family members who have played football,” remarks Schiralli. It is clear that Schiralli’s family is a huge influence in his life. But now that he is on the JCS Varsity Football team he has another family.
As we continued to converse, it became clear that Schiralli not only brings a strong sense of dedication but also a unique perspective to the team. Their previous experiences, both on and off the field, promise to offer fresh insights and approaches to the game. He talked about how passionate this team is and how dedicated to winning they are. “The team’s support has been incredible so far,” says Schiralli. “It’s a great feeling to know that everyone is here to help me adjust and excel on and off the field.” Having unshakeable support from all his teammates is one of his favorite parts of the team. When asked about their expectations and goals for the season, Schiralli spoke with determination saying, “I want to invest myself in the team, both on and off the field. It’s mostly about building connections, understanding each other’s strengths, and collectively working toward victories.”
As the interview drew to a close, Schiralli summed up their excitement in a few words, saying, “I’m here to learn, to contribute, and to grow with this team. I can’t wait to hopefully get a chance to step onto the field and give it my all.” As we bid farewell, it was evident that Schiralli is hopeful to make an impact that goes beyond just the field, one that will contribute to the collective spirit and success of the entire team.
