Highlights of the Year

Highlights+of+the+Year

JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Students and teachers at JCS were asked what the highlight of their school year was.

It is now that time of the school year where everything starts to wind down and it is the final few days. As there were many great moments and memories from this school year, many believe that the highlights of their school year were REACH Week and Spiritual Emphasis Week. These times were fun, yet impactful days for the students and teachers at JCS.

One of the most fun memories from this school year, for many, was REACH Week. There were many trip options, volunteer work opportunities, and chances for discovery. JCS student, Cora Winslow, stated, “I learned a lot from the museums we went to and it was overall a fun experience.” She chose to go on the trip to Kentucky to see the Ark Exhibit. Memories of traveling, exploring, and learning together will last them a lifetime. Mrs. Hessel, a teacher at JCS and chaperone on this Kentucky trip, stated, “I got to know the students better, we got closer to God, and we heard beautiful stories.” These experiences can help the JCS family grow closer to each other and to God. REACH Week was a time for joy and laughter, as well as learning and personal growth.

Another highlight of this school year was Spiritual Emphasis Week. This time was very impactful for many students and teachers at Jupiter Christian. JCS student, Reid Ferris, stated, “It has got to be my favorite because it was a week of non-stop talking and learning about Christ which I believe brought me closer to God.” The messages were empowering, moving, and spoke directly to the heart. Pastor Jordan, the pastor who spoke during Spiritual Emphasis Week, really reached all the people in the room. He helped them to dive deeper into their faith. Mrs. Weston, a high school teacher here at JCS, stated, “I was really impressed with the amount of students that came forward and devoted their lives to Christ.” On the last day of Spiritual Emphasis Week, students were invited down to the floor to commit to Christ and pray with the surrounding JCS family. Many students chose to be bold with their faith and made the decision to draw closer to Christ.
