JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Wednesday, May 22, 2024 was the big Spring Football game that marked the end of Spring Football here at JCS. The football team has been working extremely hard at practices, despite the very hot weather. The game was good, as they played the St. Andrew’s Football team.
Sophomore wide receiver Cayden Alula talked about the Spring Football season and how hard the Eagles Football team has been working to improve before the upcoming season. When he was asked what the Spring Football season is like here at JCS, Cayden said, “It is very organized and the whole school is involved with it. There is always a good turnout of kids who are trying football for the first time and there are always lots of coaches there that are invested in it.” This spring season, the team had around 45 kids playing football, some of whom are kids who are playing football for the first time ever, are trying out football, or are coming back to the sport. “So far the season is going well. The scrimmage just kind of showed where we were at and the team is looking really good. It was also an opportunity to get some plays in order and figure some things out.” Cayden said that his favorite part of Spring Football was the team bonding. “I really like that you kind of get introduced to a big family and you get to meet new people.”
Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The Spring Football game was at 6 p.m. at St. Andrew’s. The Eagles had a strong game, with the score being 21-34. St. Andrew’s won the game. The Eagles fought hard and everyone here at JCS cannot wait to see them this upcoming season!
