WEST PALM BEACH, FL – As you might have heard, Indian River and Okeechobee counties are under a hurricane watch as of Monday.
To begin with, tropical storm watches are in effect for Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties. As of Wednesday it is to be expected landfall on the west coast. Milton is rapidly intensifying with maximum sustained winds of 180 mph, moving east at 10 mph.
Furthermore, Milton is forecast to move near north of the Yucatan Peninsula on Monday and Tuesday. It then will cross the eastern Gulf of Mexico and it is to approach the west coast of the Florida Peninsula by Wednesday.
In conclusion, a hurricane watch is now in effect for Okeechobee County along with parts of the Gulf coast of Florida. A flood watch is also in effect for Palm Beach County. Remember to stay safe and stay covered!
