JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Kenzie Leysock and Hudson Champion were the 2022-2023 Freshmen Representatives for Jupiter Christian’s Homecoming Court.
Having a Homecoming Court has been a tradition at almost every school for many years. The Homecoming Football game is almost always the most attended game of the season. The point of having a Homecoming Court is to honor your peers that are either looked up to or deserve a chance of recognition. Every high school grade nominates both a boy and a girl, and the senior class chooses three boys and three girls. One pair of seniors then receives the title of Homecoming Queen and King. This year that honor went to Lauren Miller and Hunter Wilkinson.
As a freshman on the court, Kenzie Leysock stated that she feels very blessed to have had this amazing opportunity and that her fellow peers voted for her. “Being part of the Freshman Homecoming Court comes with the great responsibility of showing honorable behavior and great etiquette,” says Kenzie. Leading up to the game, Kenzie had to have multiple practices to perfect her walk.
The game took place on October 7, 2022. Kenzie is glad that she had the amazing chance to be on the court this year and says that she has learned a lot about etiquette and how to maintain respect. She states, “I have made an amazing memory that will never be forgotten.”
