JUPITER CHRISTIAN CHEER – The JCS Cheer Competition team consists of 17 dedicated girls who have been diligently working for their first competition. Their long adventure began months ago, when they first got their choreography and started practicing together sharing their passion for cheerleading. From the start, all the girls knew that they would have to put in a lot of work to be successful, and that it was not just a singular talent that would help the team, but a group talent, which caused an unbreakable bond between all of them.
Every Tuesday and Thursday after school, the team meets at their designated practice area and works hard for their shared dream of winning their cheer competition. Scarlet Hennessy, a sophomore at Jupiter Christian says, “We have put a lot of hard work into our routine leading up to our first competition and I am proud of how far we have progressed as a team.” Their coaches – Coach Marie and Coach Lori – constantly watch and perfect the routine that they have been working hard on for months. The girls push through exhaustion, while supporting each other through their toughest practices and drills, celebrating even the smallest victories they have accomplished. Their bond grows more and more each day they spend together.
As the competition day grows closer, the intensity of their practices increases more and more. They spend endless hours perfecting their routine, focusing on the intricate details of the routine. The girls know that their determination and hard work will be tested, and they will be pushed to the limit, but they will not give up or be discouraged. They are filled with the same dream and the awareness that they have all given their all for their team. When the competition day finally arrives, the girls take on the stage with confidence and show that in the end hard work and determination matter.
The girls won their first competition, winning first place overall and won regional champions of their division.
