JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – As the season comes to a close, the players reflect on the season and remember the memories.
Players like Owen and Cam all remember the Atlantic Christian game, when we won 6-0, a great memory for all the players to never forget. Cam Berberian said the team played well this season. The team ended up with 5 wins and 4 losses, a fair score compared to the difficulty of teams we played. With the season now over, based on the performance of some players, the team has potential. People like Owen and Campbell have potential to go on to play bigger games, and it’s exciting to think of what their next steps will be in their soccer careers.
Some players after this season are not done playing sports for the school. Owen Torres said, “I plan to try out for basketball.” Others plan to do parks and rec or travel in the meantime. Cam Berberian said he plans to train and get better for next season. On the team, players had to balance school, soccer, and other sports. Cam Berberian plays baseball and Owen plays for the Palm Beach Gardens National Team.
The team had many ups and down. During practice, they had to run many laps and corners, but they persevered. The team benefited from the exercise on the field and likely contributed to their final score of 5-4. A huge moment for the team was the win of their first game; this showed the team their effort paid off and they had a chance for the playoffs.
At the end of the season, there were two major upsets. First, the team was denied the playoffs which made some players disappointed. Cam Berberian said he thinks the team could have played better. The second upset was when the team was told their game against the Pine School was canceled. The news came over the announcements just hours before the game.
All and all, the team showed mass effort this season and played many great games.
