JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – This week I had the privilege of interviewing Naomi Kellum on her journey to joining the JCS MS Volleyball team. She has had many ups and down through all the hard practice days. I asked Naomi and she said she is really passionate about volleyball and she enjoys getting better at it on a daily basis. Naomi really likes volleyball so she decided to join the JCS middle school team, and she found out the next day that she had made the team.  She also mentioned that she likes spiking the ball, but doesn’t mind doing any position. She started playing volleyball about a year ago.

One of the questions I brought up to Naomi was about college. Naomi said she would really like to pursue her volleyball career in college. She also is very excited for volleyball games at JCS. Volleyball is definitely one sport that she has much passion for. As she claims, “Volleyball is the sport for me.” One thing that she says is typically not her favorite is conditioning. She says she also doesn’t like using weights. Other than the fact that she doesn’t like conditioning practices, for the most part she loves her practices here at JCS. I think she is very happy and is soon to be a JCS Volleyball star.

In the past, she has done volleyball for JTAA, and for her past school IMS. When doing volleyball for JTAA she said she really enjoyed it, and she also won a championship. On the other hand, she did try out for the IMS team but she sadly didn’t make it. So both of us think that this year is going to be a fresh start and a good volleyball season. One last thing she mentioned is that she is excited to have new friends and have an amazing volleyball season with her team.
