JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Lorenzo Meszaros is an up-and-coming high school athlete that has a bright future ahead of him. Lorenzo is fourteen years old and is in ninth grade. He has been playing soccer since he was a one-year-old. Lorenzo says, “Growing up in a family with Brazilian and Italian descent, I have learned to love sports and the culture behind it.”
Starting a sport at one-year-old sounds very young, but Lorenzo did anyway. He started getting serious about soccer around four or five years old and has been playing ever since. Lorenzo wishes to play track and field this school year to help him stay in shape in the off-season and just for his general health. Playing soccer will help Lorenzo translate his skills over to track and field for a better performance. Lorenzo describes how much Jupiter Christian School has helped him chase his dreams in athletics by noticing him and his skills and giving him the opportunity to play on the Varsity Soccer team in eighth grade. Beyond Jupiter Christian athletics, Lorenzo gets all of the chances he can get by also playing soccer for Elite Soccer Academy.
Lorenzo has already started thinking about his future and says, “I would love to make a career out of sports. It has been my dream since I was a little kid.” Lorenzo, like many others, loves to watch sports, specifically soccer, and he continues to say, “Watching professional soccer, I always got really passionate about it, and I thought it was super fun, and it was my dream job.”
To wrap up our interview, Lorenzo went on to describe his love for soccer and his determination to progress every day. He takes advantage of every opportunity. Also, Lorenzo takes his motivation very seriously with no negative thoughts or mindset, as we all should.
