JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, November 15, 2022 – This past Varsity Volleyball season has been one of the best seasons, with our Lady Eagles making it all the way to the Regional Final. Varsity Volleyball is a very close team that works very well together to accomplish their goals.
The Varsity Volleyball team is like no other. They are very welcoming to everyone coming in. Last year Ella Brodner was an Eighth grader on the Varsity Volleyball team, and she said, “They were very welcoming to me especially last year when I joined as an eighth grader.” The coach is very driven and is very motivating for the players. The team works extremely well together. They have the same goals and are all very supportive. Ella says, “They are like family to me.” As we see the Varsity Volleyball team is a very welcoming, motivated, and supportive team.
This year the team has changed for the better. Last year they did very well, and this year they had even more motivation to do better which helped them get to the Regional Finals. Ella learned that there is still good in losing. She says, “Even if you lose, it was still a good season and everyone is still there for you.” A difference between club volleyball and school volleyball is that school volleyball has many more fans that watch. Since there are more people watching the players have more hype and more energy in the room which helps them do well. Something that you could only get at a JCS Varsity Volleyball game that’s not a part of any club volleyball game is the energy in the room when there are many fans watching and cheering.
Ella explained that this was one of the best seasons yet! Ella says the motivation and goals of this team were like no other. The motivation to strive and do well is what really put them over the top and helped them win.
If you’re looking into trying out for the Varsity Volleyball team the commitment level is extremely high. Be very motivated. Ella says, “Everyone had high expectations and wanted to go far.” Everyone was very motivated and strove to be the best and had high expectations and wanted to go far. That shows the commitment every player had.
During Varsity Volleyball, there was time between the end of school and practice to do homework. This was very beneficial for Ella and helped her stay organized and get her priorities straight.
Playing on the team Ella made very important friendships. She has older friends who are like sisters to her, and she knows she can talk to them at any time. The seniors are great role models for Ella. Ella’s advice for people who have a sport and school is to get your priorities straight and know what you want. She says, “Put school first, but also put your sport very high if that’s what you want and are willing to go for it.”
Something that Ella has gained from the team that she wouldn’t have gained otherwise is having older friends as big role models for her. The seniors and juniors on the team really inspire her to do better and help her mental game.
As we can see Varsity Volleyball is a very intense, kind, and welcoming team. By being on the Varsity Volleyball team Ella has gained so much that she is grateful for. On the Varsity Volleyball team, everyone becomes like family to you which is something very important. By being a part of the Varsity Volleyball team Ella has gained so many skills and experiences that she would not have gained otherwise and that she will cherish forever.
This season’s Varsity volleyball team was definitely one like no other.
