Christ at JCS

Christ+at+JCS

JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Paula Fabrega shares her view on the impact Christ has on JCS.

Jupiter Christian is unique because Christ is at the center of the school. Paula Fabrega shared how JCS involves Christ in daily life and why it is important.

To begin, Jupiter Christian involves Christ in everyday life. Paula believes, “Knowing about His word and knowing the Gospel is crucial.” It is required to take a Bible class every year that really focuses on God’s word. Chapel is also another wonderful way to experience the Lord. Paula believes chapel has a significant impact on her relationship with Christ. Worshiping with songs and hearing the teachings really tends to touch peoples’ hearts. Centering on God at school is very important. Being able to learn about the Savior and share with other like-minded people is key when building relationships.

Furthermore, Paula is actively involved with activities that connect her to God. She attends a weekly Bible study. Here she can connect with other girls, share experiences, and learn more about the Lord. She is also on the JCS worship team. Paula feels as though being on the worship team has strengthened her relationship with God, which she is incredibly grateful for. Paula states, “I think if it weren’t for the worship team, I wouldn’t be such a strong believer.” Thanks to the opportunities JCS provides, Paula and many others have formed a strong relationship with God.

Lastly, Paula shares the secret to spreading Gods’ love around at school. She believes a simple prayer makes all the difference, whether the prayer is physically with a person who needs it or is a prayer that is in one’s head and kept to themselves. God hears everyone’s individual prayers, and He responds. “I’ve had people come up to me and want to pray with me and it warmed my heart,” says Paula. This simple act can be life-changing and is appreciated by many. Paula gives a piece of advice to any new believers; be surrounded by people in a Christian community. Relationships with God can be affected positively or negatively depending on who is surrounding you.

All in all, Jupiter Christian is centered around Christ. Jupiter Christian is very unique for centering on Christ while at school. Students and teachers are truly fortunate to be a part of such an amazing community.
