TAMPA, FLORIDA – The long-awaited Women’s Volleyball National Championship finally came, and this year it was hosted in Tampa, Florida. The very talented Nebraska Women’s Volleyball team was playing the strong Texas, who just won the 2022 championship. Nebraska has a very strong volleyball program, but they have not been able to pull off a championship win since 2006.  

Many fans thought that this would be a tight game because both teams were very talented. But unfortunately, this was not the case. Texas came out strong and Nebraska struggled against the strong Texas offense. Texas’ talented hitters got the Nebraska back row off their game as they struggled to get a pass up to the setter.  

In the end, Texas had a full sweep against Nebraska and won three straight sets. There is no doubt that Nebraska deserved to be there. They just had an off game and were not able to showcase their skills like they normally do. Now next season, Texas will be the team to beat as they are now back-to-back National Champions.
