Jesus teaching with parables

ISRAEL, 1ST CENTURY – Jesus teaching with parables was a genius idea.

Jesus spoke to many people in the Bible through parables. At first, parables can seem very confusing, but when you really analyze it, they are actually quite genius. Jesus used different parables for different audiences. He used different situations to speak to certain people like Pharisees, crowds, and disciples. These parables used characters and circumstances that would have happened during that time period, to help the audience understand what he was expressing. While that may confuse us, if we take time to understand the historical background and context, they are easier to figure out. The parables revealed things such as what the Kingdom of Heaven is like. He wanted those who truly care and want to learn, to decipher what he was teaching and apply it to their lives. These parables can teach us so many important lessons and truths that apply to our lives to this day.
