WORLDWIDE – Since its inaugural season in 2014-2015, Formula E has been an electric-only motorsport that has captivated the hearts and minds of fans worldwide. Formula E is the only motorsport other then Formula 1 that has been given FIA world championship status.

Throughout the years, many advancements in the electric and hybrid car industry have been made. This can be proven with the average top speed of the cars used being 200 mph as well as having no deaths since 2014. Formula E was created by Jean Todt, the previous FIA president, as a way to test electric and hybrid cars and develop faster engines.

All in all, Formula E is an all electric motorsport that was created due to the need to innovate and develop improved engines and help make advances in the technological fields in the racing world. Although it is still under appreciated, Formula E has helped many companies find new uses for electricity and has improved the world heavily.
