XCEL ENERGY CENTER, MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, March 3, 2024 – The state of hockey, Minnesota, finally had their long-awaited state hockey tournament, and it did not disappoint. This year’s tournament had many upsets with favored teams not making it to the Xcel Energy Center. For example, the number one seed, Minnetonka, was taken out by the number four seed, Edina.
This year, the state tournament got lots of media coverage which is extremely exciting to see for Minnesotans. You got to see the many highlights of the tournament and the spirit of the hockey fans. The championship was crazy! The number two seed, Chanhassen, had not made it to the tournament in years but was a fan favorite! They faced the number one seed, Edina, and ended up losing after a hard battle. Again, this was another great state tournament in the state of hockey!
