Rest and Recharge

JUPITER, FLORIDA – The third quarter is finally over, and March 18-22 we received Spring Break, which was a great way for us all to rest and recharge before the final quarter.

While my family usually travels for Spring Break, we stayed in town this year. I started the break off on Friday which was meant to be a half day, but I was too tired from a Track meet the day before. That evening, I attended a men’s event at my church to hear a former Navy SEAL speak about his experiences. I rested over the weekend, and on Monday, I went to a morning practice on the beach and got breakfast with my teammates afterward. Later in the week, I spent the night at a friend’s house, and then they spent a night at mine. We got to fool around and have a great time. Over all, I had a great spring break, and can’t wait for summer!

Ben Weda has been a student at Jupiter Christian School for 10 years and is a journalist for Jupiter Christian’s newspaper ‘The Beak." Over the years, Ben’s friends have given him many nicknames, ‘Big Ben’ being the one that really stuck over the years. Ben plans on graduating in b2026 and would like to attend a Christian college. He will most likely pursue a career in law enforcement or engineering. Ben was born and raised in Florida and has never moved out of the state. Over the past 3 years, Ben has become involved in Track and Field, Cross Country, Football, and Wrestling, and enjoys doing sports year-round. Outside of school, he enjoys working out, reading and eating good food. So far, Ben’s favorite travel destination has been his grandparents' home deep in the mountains of North Carolina, which he has been visiting since the age of 3. Ben has several chickens, as well as a white and grey cat named Oliver Twist. Ben volunteers at his school during chapel helping to run the audio-visual equipment as well as setting up and tearing down chapel. His favorite Bible verse is Psalms 121:1-4, "I lift my eyes to the mountains — where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."
