JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – When the cast list for the school’s production of Into the Woods was revealed, Paula’s name gleamed under the coveted role of Cinderella. A whirlwind of excitement and pride followed, but this achievement was anything but accidental—it was the result of hard work, resilience, and an unwavering faith in God’s plan.
Paula’s journey to the lead role started long before auditions. A dedicated member of the school’s drama program, she spent years honing her acting and singing skills. From chorus roles in previous productions to stepping into supporting characters, Paula treated every opportunity as a chance to grow. She also credited her church choir experience with strengthening her vocal abilities.
“Singing at church every Sunday helped me develop confidence and connect with others through music,” Paula explained.
The audition process for the school’s production was especially intense this year, with the drama club drawing in more students than ever before. Each hopeful actress brought their best to the stage, but Paula’s performance stood out. Her rendition of, “On the Steps of the Palace” displayed not only technical precision but also an emotional depth that captured the essence of Cinderella’s struggles and dreams.
In rehearsals, Paula’s work ethic and positivity quickly made her a leader among the cast. Her fellow students spoke highly of her ability to encourage others while staying focused.
“Paula is the kind of person who makes you feel like you can achieve anything,” said Natalie, a backstage cast member. “Her faith and dedication inspire everyone around her.”
Beyond the stage, Paula saw her role as a way to share her faith. She often spoke about how prayer helped her stay calm and centered during stressful moments. “I knew I couldn’t do this alone,” she said. “I relied on God for guidance, and I trusted Him to lead me where I was meant to be.”
As opening night approaches, Paula reflects on the deeper meaning of her role. “Cinderella’s story is one of transformation, kindness, and hope. I want to show the audience that even in difficult times, God has a plan for us, and His love is constant.”
For Paula, this production is more than a performance—it’s a testimony to the power of perseverance and faith. She hopes that her journey will encourage others to trust in God’s timing and use their talents to glorify Him.
