JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Mr. Hamilton, the new middle school dean, was a middle school teacher until his life changed. He felt as though the Lord thought this was the perfect fit for him, and he should apply to be the dean. It turns out, after a lot of hard work, meetings, and appointments, he got the job.
Mr. Hamilton’s “day to day” routine is pretty intense. First, as he likes to say, “In the morning, in the evening, and all the different class changes, I’m always there.” Then, he will go to the middle school break to supervise. And finally, he will go to several meetings, whether it’s a business meeting or one with a student.
Mr. Hamilton has three kids, ages 14, 13, and an 11-year-old. One of his favorite activities is combat sports training with his son. Mr. Hamilton said, “We have done boxing together. We are doing Muay Thai… and doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.”
10 years ago, he said he saw himself at churches, helping out with the ministry. But 10 years from now, he says he can see himself either in a “ministry setting or an education setting.” He has been teaching for three years now (this year being his third). That means, after only being a teacher for 2 years, he is already the dean. Impressive. He is also a believer in Christ and an all-around great guy.
Mr. Hamilton also loves the school, making sure to make it to most sporting events and always keeping the hallways safe. He is also super kind, and always makes time for students.
So, next time you see Mr. Hamilton in the halls, at lunch, or on break, don’t just see him as your dean. See him as a kind, smart, funny, brilliant, family man, a Christian, and a member of our Jupiter Christian School family.
