JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – On October 3rd was the first House Battle of the 2025 school year. Following the House Reveal middle school has the Fall House Battle. I had the pleasure of speaking to students from every house to get their input on how the House Battles would go, and it was interesting that almost every student had almost the same answer, thinking their house would come up on top.
First I spoke to Brooklyn Carly from Justelion, whose house is currently in last place. As most people know Justelion has been the underdog most of this quarter and has been pretty consistent with its 4th place spot. It would be pretty tough for Justelion to come up to first and they would have to potentially win both the candy drive and House Battles to confirm first place because they’re so far behind. Which is similar to what Brooklyn said, “I think that if on the last day we bring a lot of candy and we do well in House Battles then we’ll pull through.” This confirms the thought that Justelion will have to go all in for any hope of winning this quarter.
After Justelion came Veritas. I spoke to Allison Siebrecht on her thoughts about how Veritas will finish with the end of the quarter coming up. Veritas has been in 3rd place far ahead of Justelion but not far behind 1st and 2nd place. When speaking with Allison she seemed confident in the fact that Veritas could very well win the candy drive and possibly the House Battles and come up to first place. She even said (when talking about how they’ll do at House Battles), “I think we’ll do pretty good.” So Veritas might currently be in 3rd but it seems their confidence is through the roof.
Following Veritas and Justelion, comes Agape and Humilitas who have been neck and neck for a while. First for Humilitas I interviewed both Ryann Lauck and Naomi Kellum. Both had similar answers and probably would agree that they believe Justelion is going to win this quarter. Naomi stated that, “Going off how we’ve done at the Chapel games I think Humilitas will do well at House Battles.” Humilitas has in fact proven to be strong competitors in games at Chapel and could be a problem for the other houses to look out for. Naomi also stated that, ” I think Humilitas will come in 1st in the end. A lot of people say we’re cheating, but we’re not cheating. Yeah, I think we will probably win. Ryann said that she also thinks, “We can definitely win. We just have to do really well” talking about House Battles, and the quarter as a whole.
As for Agape I interviewed Hunter Johnson who proved that Agape has just as much confidence as any other house, Hunter said that he thinks Agape will keep it’s lead and win, but he’s not sure how’ll they’ll do at House Battles. “It depends on the different challenges.” He thinks his team is strong both “…mentally and physically, and I know we have a lot of smart people and good people that are athletes in our house.”
If all these members of all 4 house have shown anything, it’s that all 4 are strong, confident competitors who will make this a fun and interesting year for all the houses. Who will come out on top?
UPDATE: Fall House Battles were a tie between Justelion and Agape, but Agape won the quarter over all.
