JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Key Club president, Adilee Rodriguez, gave an introduction to what to look forward to from the club during the 2024-2025 school year.
Adilee expressed her excitement to be running Jupiter Christian’s community service-based club. Key Club’s goal is to reach out to the community in every aspect possible providing local help wherever it is needed. Students that take part in the club will be given the opportunity to complete some of the community service hours required to graduate. Key Club has just begun, so memorable club experiences are yet to come.
President Adilee Rodriguez strives to encourage Christian leadership within the club. As she shared, she does this by “…letting everybody know that they are eligible for any leadership position role they feel God has called them to apply to.” This gives students the option to run for what they feel drawn to do. It also allows for diversity in the club’s student government, promoting innovation.
When asked what advice Adilee gives to students who are considering joining Key Club her response was, “…they would be making a great decision for their future, because even if they have all of their community service hours, colleges care about what they do to go above and beyond to reach out to the community.”
There are numerous perks to being a part of Key Club. Some of these include days off of school to attend field trips, such as beach cleanups, working at medical centers, working with animals, and even the opportunity to connect with other schools.
Key club is renowned throughout the globe. According to Adilee, “Key Club consists of half a million students across eighty-five countries, and Key Club itself offers nineteen-million hours of community service every year and each student that forms part of the club this school year will gain at least 50 community service hours, if not more.”
President Adilee Rodriguez gives plenty to look forward to regarding Key Club activities as of this school year. All the chances to serve the community give students the chance to represent the school through student leadership and giving back to the community. JCS students will be able to serve just as Jesus taught his disciples to do. This is in hopes of being lights of the world and the salt of the Earth as mentioned in Matthew 5:13-16. In summary, Key Club under President Adilee Rodriguez promises to be a beacon of community service and Christian leadership at Jupiter Christian School, offering students the chance to make a meaningful impact while embodying the values of compassion and service that define their faith.
