JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Students at Jupiter Christian School had the opportunity to experience a business convention called “Claim Your Future.” 

Many high schoolers who are a part of the business pathway program had a wonderful opportunity to experience business outside of JCS. Students had a fun field trip to a convention center to learn more about business. There was a mock competition there that was very informative. The purpose of the competition is to teach new skills and tools.  Gianna Mestrovich says, “Watching the mock competition was very informative and a cool way to learn new skills that involve presenting yourself and more.” The mock competition was to highlight the skills needed for interviews which are a big part of business. Interviews are a very crucial part of the business industry. It is very important to learn how to present yourself correctly. With this mock competition, it allowed students to see real world examples of interviews and how they are conducted. 

Another exciting part of this business field trip was walking around a business exhibit. The JCS students got to see business vendors and get inspired. They were able to talk to business vendors and companies and learn more. This allowed the students to learn more about what jobs are available in the business industry. Gianna says, “I thought it was cool to see and talk to business vendors and learn more about the business industry.” This inspired many students on what they want to do in the future. 

The Claim Your Future event allowed students to see their possible future, learn skills and tools, and seek business opportunities.
