The first Administrator at JCS was Dr. George Hopkins. He started as administrator in 1963 when the school began and retired in 1981. The first teacher was Mrs. Patricia Smith and her helper was Mrs. Alice Peacock. The first year had only 15 kindergarten and 1st grade students. Three of the kindergarteners stayed at JCS and graduated in 1976.
