13 year old Noely Rodriguez went on the vacation of a lifetime, exploring Rome, Italy, and Spain with her family.
Most middle schoolers spend their summer vacation sleeping in, hanging out with friends, and taking a small vacation or two with family. But for Noely Rodriguez, this last summer was much more than that. Noely went on a week-long cruise through Europe, exploring chapels, colosseums, and temples with her family. It was a summer she’ll never forget!
Noely lives with her mom, dad, sister (Esmé), brother (Elliot), and two dogs (a black lab named Luna and a golden retriever named Lola) in Jupiter, Florida, where she’s lived for three years. She turned 13 on April 24, and she is an eighth grader at Jupiter Christian School, where her favorite class is Yearbook. She plays travel soccer for the Predators and loves drawing and watching movies. Her favorite animal is a dog, and her favorite show is Gilmore Girls. This summer, her family went on an unforgettable adventure – a weeklong cruise in Europe!
On the cruise, Noely and her family enjoyed going in the pool, having a movie marathon, going to an aquatics show, and drinking Shirley Temples. But the fun didn’t end there! Noely’s first stop was Italy. There, she visited a famous temple called the Temple of Divus, as well as the Sistine Chapel. Then, she went to Spain, where she explored the busy streets and cool shops. Her last stop was Rome, where she and her family went to an ancient colosseum. Noely’s trip was filled with new experiences, on board and off!
Noely’s favorite part of the trip was Italy. She especially enjoyed going to a shop that made umbrellas for famous actors and even a prince. The funniest thing that happened was when someone walked in on her and her sister while they were taking selfies in the elevator. She had a really good time and said that if she was given a chance, she would do it again, but her dream vacation would be Hawaii. She is looking forward to graduating from eighth grade at the end of the year and starting high school at Jupiter Christian. Noely said, “I’m excited for the years to come!”
