Good morning JCS!
It is chapel and advisory day. Many students will have a new advisory group, so make sure you attend the correct one.
High School Chapel meets immediately after Advisory at 12:09 p.m.
Stop by student services on Friday to receive your perfect attendance donut for the 2nd quarter. The list of students is posted on the door. Congratulations!
Girls’ Lacrosse tryouts will be held next Wednesday, January 21 through Friday, January 23, from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. at Jupiter Community Park. Players should bring a lacrosse stick—one can be borrowed if needed—along with cleats, workout clothes, a water bottle, and a winning attitude.
Peer Tutoring will be available today from 3:15-4:00 in Room 203. Please contact Clayton Pinera if you have any questions.
Reminder: Auditions for the JCS High School Talent Show are open now. Submit your 1–2-minute audition video using the link on Canvas and be sure it’s school-appropriate and clearly recorded. Auditions close February 11, so don’t miss your chance to shine!

Senior Shoutouts continue. Today’s seniors are Miley Russel and Olivia Rykse
Miley, in 6 years at JCS, you’ve reminded everyone around you that they are loved by God and by others. From Varsity Cheerleading on Friday nights to celebrating the Girls’ Lacrosse team’s first win, your joy and encouragement have made a lasting impact. As you head college, keep leaning into Philippians 4:13—you can do all things through Christ. And remember your advice: don’t take things too seriously—everything happens for a reason. Keep shining, Miley!
Olivia, in 7 years at JCS, your impact has been felt through the students you’ve mentored, encouraged, and led with faith. From band trips and performances to leading girls’ Bible studies and prayer groups, you’ve served with joy and purpose. As you head toward a future in architecture, with dreams of starting your own firm, you’re guided by faith-filled verses like Psalm 25:5 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18. Your senior quote says it perfectly—when you let God lead, you become exactly who you were created to be. We’re so proud of you, Olivia!
Have a great day, JCS!
