LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – The fire in LA has caused mass destruction and resulted in many people having to evacuate. Fires like this in California happen every year, but are only getting worse. During the fire season, there is little rain causing the area to be dry along with strong winds that are reaching over 65 mph right now. Instead of relying on firefighters and first responders to stop this, more should be done by the people. Climate change is the reason for this area being prone to fires.
People need to take climate change more seriously or there are going to be much worse fires than this. The hotter temperatures and drier seasons are a result of global warming. For now though, this fire has caused thousands of people to lose their homes because this fire cannot be contained.
