JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – On Thursday, December 11, 2025, Florida’s 21st Lieutenant Governor, Jay Collins, came to speak on behalf of Club America. The Lt. Governor addressed more than 400 people who gathered in the school gymnasium, including students and teachers alongside veterans and local community residents. The event delivered great value to everyone who attended.
Lieutenant Governor Collins delivered his speech by sharing his military experience, which molded him into the person he is today. He spoke honestly about his time in military service, describing the difficulties he encountered and the valuable knowledge he gained through following orders, becoming a leader, and making sacrifices. His speech reached its peak when he said, “I would do it all over again 100 times,” demonstrating his deep pride in his military service and the decisions he made.
Lieutenant Governor Collins is both a Purple Heart recipient and a Green Beret, which are among the highest honors in the United States Army. He explained the meaning behind these awards by sharing stories from his military service, showing the strong bond he formed with fellow soldiers who became like brothers to him. He emphasized that veterans need genuine support after their service, explaining that empty words do not substitute for real help and proper recognition.
His talk also included an in-depth examination of leadership and the essential responsibilities leaders must carry. He encouraged students to work hard toward their goals, fight for justice, and recognize the true value of their freedom. He described how veterans risk their lives in dangerous situations to protect both national security and the freedoms enjoyed by all people. Through his words, he inspired many students to find new ways to serve their community through volunteer work.
Mr. Wade, our high school principal, said that the event was amazing. He shared that Club America is doing great things and that he cannot wait to see what the club does next. He also noted that the work students are putting in is clearly showing.
It was a true honor to have Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins visit and speak at our school. His story, along with his bravery and dedication, created a deep impact on everyone present at the event, turning the entire gathering into a truly unforgettable experience.
