Good Morning JCS!
Today is the final day of MAP testing (for now). Be sure to finish strong! See your teachers for the specific schedule.
Our senior prefects are hosting a 3K for childhood cancer on February 7th starting at 8 am. Please sign up via the link on Canvas and invite your friends and family! This going to be an amazing opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Girls’ Lacrosse tryouts conclude today from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. at Jupiter Community Park. Players should bring a lacrosse stick—one can be borrowed if needed—along with cleats, workout clothes, a water bottle, and a winning attitude.
Reminder: Auditions for the JCS High School Talent Show are open now. Submit your 1–2-minute audition video using the link on Canvas and be sure it’s school-appropriate and clearly recorded. Auditions close February 11, so don’t miss your chance to shine!
In Sports Today…
It’s tournament time!
Men’s Varsity Basketball and Women’s Varsity Basketball will both be competing in tournament play.
Women’s Varsity Soccer will be participating in their FHSAA District Semifinal.
And Men’s Varsity Wrestling is back in tournament action today and tomorrow.
It is going to be an intense weekend of competition! Check the athletics calendar for times and locations.
Senior Shoutouts continue! Today’s seniors are Rigby Stepp and Jake Taylor
Rigby, after 13 years at JCS, you’ve encouraged others to try new things and be bold in their faith. From unforgettable moments like a 2 a.m. Fortnite Victory Royale on college tours to chasing your passions for business, music, and cars, you’ve fully embraced the journey. As you head to college to study business, keep leaning into your senior quote—“Fear is a friend who is misunderstood.” And here’s hoping your future self answers yes… you can absolutely shred on guitar now!
Jake, after 13 years at JCS, you’ve consistently led with respect, kindness, and a willingness to help others. As you look ahead to creating more animations and one day helping lead your family’s company, your faith remains at the center—“With God, all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Shoutout to Mrs. Kies and your community at Christ Fellowship for shaping your journey. And as your quote reminds us, “Hang on to your dreams—the future is built on dreams.” Keep creating and dreaming big, Jake!
Have a great day, JCS!
