Door Decorating Contest brings school together.

Door+Decorating+Contest+brings+school+together.

JUPITER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – The Jupiter Christian School Door Decorating Contest has kicked off and is in full swing. Many teachers are pumped and excited for this time of year so they can hopefully be the winners and get into the Christmas Spirit and also get the kids here involved so they can be in the Spirit as well.

Starting off everyone is decorating with lots of intent to win this competition. Different areas in the halls and in the office have different themes. For instance, the middle school office’s theme is a very cozy, warm cabin lodge, and going right outside the office to the left there is a ski lift themed hallway. Ms. Mastin is working with some teachers on her gingerbread theme. All this, no matter who wins, gets everyone in the best Christmas Spirit. “We even had to ask for an extension on our decorating,” says Mrs. Loud. Everyone is working so hard and in this way they can remember the Christmas story and what God has given us.

Mrs. Loud tells us, “At first I was the Scrooge, and I didn’t want to help decorate; but then as it was starting to come together all of our creativity came. Now, we just want to beat everybody at the game, but we are very excited getting into the Christmas Spirit.” Mr. A, Mrs. Carley, Mrs. Loud, and Mrs. Flesch all have matching sweaters with their faces on them which will hopefully put their decorations over the top so they can win the prize.

In all, no matter who wins or loses the competition, this is a hands on way of remembering what God has given us and how he was born and what He continues to do for us. He died for us and continues to love us, and I believe we should think about that this coming Christmas season.
