FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH – The holiday season wouldn’t be complete without the enchanting sounds of the annual High School Christmas Concert. The choir, band, and orchestra students came together to deliver an unforgettable evening of music and joy at the First Presbyterian Church.
Moreover, according to Senior Joshua Joseph, “It was a fun experience for us band students to be able to show off our progress to the rest of the JCS family…” According to Josh, the band group played four songs, including The Nutcracker (Josh’s favorite of the four), Cowboy Christmas, and A Christmas Festival.
These hardworking band kids have been working on perfecting these pieces since October, making this a true test of discipline and mastery over their instruments. The choir was there as well, and as Josh states, “We went back and forth between songs, and when one group was done, then the other would start their piece.”
Finally, when the concert concluded, and when all of the band and choir students bowed and departed from the church and left, Josh stated, “The concert was a lot of fun, and as a bonus, we went out to eat afterward.”
